Udyam re-registration is a process to update renew and maintain exiting MSME registration-specifically from old udyam aadhaar to new udyam portal. Udyam re-registration is essential for ensuring business details like MSME status to access government benefits like credit, subsidies and tender fee waivers.

 

Key Aspects of Udyam Re-Registration:

·         Who Needs It: Businesses previously registered under Udyog Aadhaar (UAM) or those needing to update details due to changes in PAN in card, or ownership.

·         Cost: The process is free of charge

·         Validity: The updated Udyam certificate ensures uninterrupted eligibility for government schemes. 

It is important to note that the Udyam re-registration ensures that the new entity, often with a new PAN or structure, is officially recognized under the MSMED Act 2006, as the older registrations are no longer valid. 

Udyam Re-Registration process step-by-step guide :-

1.    Access the Portal: Visit the official Udyam registration portal.

2.    Login: Click on Udyam Re-registration fill Business details and enter 16-digit Udyam Registration Number (URN) and mobile number.

3.    Validate OTP: Choose mobile/email OTP verification and validate the OTP.

4.    Update Details:

1.    Edit Information: Modify necessary details such as business name, address, investment, turnover, and employee count.

2.    NIC Codes: Ensure the NIC codes (National Industrial Classification) reflect current business activities.

3.    PAN/GSTIN: Verify and update PAN and GSTIN details if needed.

5.    Submit and Verify: Review all updated information. Click "Update Details" to submit the changes. The system automatically validates data against GST and Income Tax records.

6.    Download Certificate: After submission, select "Print Certificate" to download the updated Udyam Registration Certificate for your records. 

 

Required Details

·         12-digit Aadhaar number of the owner/proprietor.

·         PAN card number.

·         Existing Udyam/UAM number.

·         Updated investment in plant & machinery/equipment and annual turnover. 

Ensure that all information matches your official documents (PAN, GSTIN) to avoid application rejection or delays.
